THE BEGINNING
The one that never sat still
Kenny Lewis started filming music videos in Pittsburgh with no budget, no roadmap, and no backup plan. Just cameras, local artists, and an obsession with creating something that felt real. What began as late nights filming underground music videos slowly turned into a bigger vision. Every project became an opportunity to learn faster, shoot better, and push further than the last. The goal was never just to make videos. It was to create work people actually felt connected to.
THE ROAD
48 videos. 48 states. 5 months.
At 23 years old, Kenny set out on a five month journey across the country to direct and film a music video in every contiguous U.S. state. No production crew. No major sponsors. Just a camera, a car, and an obsession with movement. Every state became a set. Every city became part of the story. The trip eventually became the documentary If You Don’t Love It, Change It, capturing the uncertainty, freedom, burnout, and chaos that came with chasing something bigger than comfort. It wasn’t just about making content anymore. It became proof that creativity could build a life.
THE SHIFT
Creativity became strategy
New York sharpened the pace. Working at VaynerMedia on Team GaryVee exposed Kenny to the speed of modern content, internet culture, and brand storytelling at scale. The projects got bigger. The standards got higher. That momentum led to collaborations with artists, brands, and creatives across New York and Los Angeles, including continued work with DJ Clue and eventually relocating to LA to work alongside Rob Gough, founder of DOPE. The work evolved beyond music videos. Creative direction, branding, social strategy, storytelling, and internet culture all started merging into one thing: building visuals people actually remember.
DIRTY MARTINI STUDIOS
Culture. story. impact.
Eventually, the path led back home to Pittsburgh. Dirty Martini Studios was built from years of experience across music, brands, documentaries, internet culture, and commercial storytelling. A creative studio designed for modern attention spans and real emotional connection. Today, Dirty Martini creates cinematic content, branded campaigns, documentaries, music visuals, and digital storytelling built for the way people consume media now. Not just content for algorithms. Work that people feel something from.
